(1)测量比较单元。测量发电机电压信号,将其按比例变换成直流电压信号，与给定直流电压进行比较，送出发电机电压偏差信号。为使并列运行的
各机组合理稳定地分担无功功率，应设置调差单元。
(2)综合放大单元。由综合放大环节、比例积分环节和适应器环节组成。综合放大环节将各种基本测量输出的、反馈和辅助限制生成的、以及稳定和
补偿反应的各种直流信号加以综合放大,输出给比例积分环节。比例积分环节按预定的调节规律进行加工后输出。适应器环节将信号电压经放大加

(3)移相触发单元。接受综合放大单元的输出信号电压的大小，改变晶闸管触发控制角的大小，以控制励磁电压。
(4)稳压电源。把输入的交、直流电源变换成励磁调节器所需的、电压稳定的电源。对输入的交、直流电源要能适时自动切换。
(5)其他各种辅助功能单元:
1)大励磁电流限制器。将晶闸管整流桥输出的总电流值限制在给定的励磁顶值电流以下。
2)励磁过电流限制器。在强励或励磁过电流达到允许时间时，将励磁电流减小到长期允许大值。
3)欠励磁限制器。根据发电机和电力系统稳定计算的需要，将晶闸管整流桥输出小电流限制在有功功率对应的给定值上。
4)电压/频率限制器。主要用于发电机与电网断开空载运行期间，防止因调速器故障而使机组低于1 I频运行，出现误强励，产生过励磁故障。
(6)手动单元。早期手动调节励磁,采用开环方式，后来采用以励磁电流为信号源的闭环调节方式。
(7)跟踪单元。在调节器以”自动方式”按发电机端电压为信号闭环调节的每一时刻,跟踪单元将手动单元的励磁电流信号“自动紧紧跟踪对应前述
电压信号”，以保证在“自动”切换到"手动” 方式时，不出现励磁的大幅度波动。当调节器"自动” 调节方式有一主一备双通道时， 则需要保
证备用通道自动跟踪主通道的信号。
(8)失衡(脉冲消失)保护。监测主通道,在主通道脉冲消失或失常时，自动切换到备用通道。
