The matching unit converts the excitation current sent by the control unit into a current suitable for the pressure head. Each indenter requires a matching unit. The matching unit can compensate for the reactance load generated by the pressure head and its cables. This unit is also used as a junction box for pressure head signal transmission. The selection of two types of matching units PFV0142 and PFV0143 depends on the selection of the pressure head model. See Tables 2-8. Table 2-8. Matching Units PFVO142 and PFVO143 The matching unit should be installed as close as possible to the pressure head and protected from mechanical damage and thermal radiation. The matching unit must be well grounded and connected to the nearest grounding point through a dedicated cable. take care If the matching unit is already grounded at the installation position, there is no need to connect the grounding cable between terminal 4 and the grounding terminal of the control unit. All components of the matching unit are installed on a flat plate. The tablet is easy to disassemble and can be installed in a user provided installation box if necessary. The unused holes in the matching unit must be blocked.
