A100 PCIE    单卡

PCle A100仍然基于GA100核心,规模保持不变,还是台积电7nm工艺、826平方毫米、542亿个晶体管 ,提供6912个FP32 CUDA核心,高加速频率也是1.41GHz,因此值性能相同:单精度19.5TFlops. 双精度9.7TFlops. INT8推理1248Tops. INT8张量624Tops. FP16张量312TFlops. FP32张量1 56TFlops. FP32训练312TFlops. FP64高性能计算19.5TFlops。NVIDIA宣称,枇于上代Volta伏特架构的V100计算卡,INT8推理性能、FP32训练性能都实现了20倍的提升,FP64高性能计算也提升了2.5倍,历史上进步大的一次。显存依然搭配40GB HBM2,512-bit位宽, 2.4GHz频率, 1.6TB/s带宽。
由于散热限制,热设计功耗从SMX4版本的400W大大降低到了250W,如此还能维持相同的峰值性能堪称奇迹,当然实负载持续性能显然无法做到满血,官方表示仍能有大约90%。另外一点不同就是多卡并联,SMX4版本支持多八块并行, PCle则只能两块并行,NVLink互连总线显然做了精简,但具体未披露,可能从12条砍半至6条。NVIDIA没有披露PCle A100计算卡的出货时间和价格,应当会很快。AMD霄龙无疑仍然还是其佳搭档,后者仍是唯-支持PCle 4.0的数据中心平台。

The PCle A100 is still based on the GA100 core, with the same scale as TSMC's 7nm process, 826 square millimeters, 54.2 billion transistors, providing 6912 FP32 CUDA cores, and a high acceleration frequency of 1.41GHz. Therefore, the value performance is the same: single precision 19.5TFlops, double precision 9.7TFlops, INT8 inference 1248Tops INT8 tensor 624Tops FP16 tensor 312TFlops FP32 tensor 1 56TFlops FP32 training 312TFlops FP64 high-performance computing 19.5TFlops. NVIDIA claims that compared to the previous generation Volta Volta architecture V100 computing card, the INT8 inference performance and FP32 training performance have been improved by 20 times, and the FP64 high-performance computing has also been improved by 2.5 times, marking a significant improvement in history. The graphics memory is still paired with a 40GB HBM2512 bit width, a 2.4GHz frequency, and a 1.6TB/s bandwidth.
Due to heat dissipation limitations, the thermal design power consumption has been greatly reduced from 400W in the SMX4 version to 250W, which is a miracle in maintaining the same peak performance. Of course, the continuous performance on real load is obviously not able to achieve full performance, and the official statement still shows that it can reach about 90%. Another difference is the parallel connection of multiple cards. The SMX4 version supports up to eight parallel connections, while PCle can only have two parallel connections. The NVLink interconnect bus has clearly been streamlined, but the specific details have not been disclosed, and it may be reduced from 12 to half to 6. NVIDIA did not disclose the shipping time and price of the PCle A100 calculation card, which should be done soon. AMD Xiaolong is undoubtedly still its best partner, and the latter is still the only data center platform that supports PCle 4.0.
