The NVIDIA H800 GPU consists of multiple GPU processing clusters (GPC), texture processing clusters (TPC), streaming multiprocessors (SM), and HBM2 memory controllers.
The complete implementation of H800 GPU includes the following units:
8 GPCs, 8 TPC/GPCs, 2 SM/TPCs, 16 SM/GPCs, 128 SMs per complete GPU
64 FP32 CUDA cores/SM, 8192 FP32 CUDA cores per complete GPU
4 third-generation Tensor Cores/SM, with 512 third-generation Tensor Cores per complete GPU
Six HBM2 stacks, 12 512 bit memory controller 192 KB combined shared memory, and L1 data cache, 1.5 times larger than V100 SM.
The new asynchronous replication instruction loads data directly from global memory into shared memory, optionally bypassing L1 cache and eliminating the need for intermediate register file (RF) usage. The new shared memory based barrier unit (asynchronous barrier) is used in conjunction with the new asynchronous replication instruction. New instructions for L2 cache management and resident control. The new distortion level reduction instruction supported by the CUDA collaboration group.
